Bus riders will be taught to space themselves out from others as they exit the bus and walk into the school building.
Parents are kindly asked to stay in the car and drop their child off at school to/from school to reduce possible virus exposure.
Student temperatures will be taken upon entering the school foyer.
Students will be encouraged to use hand sanitizer immediately upon entering the building and other common areas.
Grab & Go breakfast will be served in the cafeteria from 7:10-7:40.
Students arriving at school will be allowed to social distance and spread out in larger common spaces until the 7:30 AM bell rings to report to class:
Kindergarten in the cafeteria with Ms. Hardwick
1st grade in the cafeteria with Ms. Lee and Ms. Nuru
2nd grade in the gym with Ms. Wheatley
3rd grade in the KIVA with Ms. Marshall
ABC students in room #24 with Ms. Mirabella
4th grade in 4th grade pod with Ms. Cannon
5th grade outside of the library near the 5th grade pod with Ms. Venable
DismissalStudents will line-up in their designated dismissal spot and walk with assigned teacher in a single file line to dismissal. Car riders will stay seated with teacher until name is called for car line.
McCoy Elementary plans to utilize the school cafeteria for student lunches. NOTE: no parents/visitors during lunch.
Cafeteria staff will be trained in COVID-19 safety protocols.
Classes will go to lunch on a staggered schedule to minimize the number of students in the cafeteria each period. All cafeteria staff will be wearing masks and gloves while serving students. Screen guards will be utilized at point of pay locations.
McCoy is ordering Antibacterial Wipes (75% alcohol) for students to wipe their hands before lunch.
